Mikki Lipson
High Performance Coach
Mikki Lipson brings together performance conditioning, classical ballet training, multidisciplinary performing arts expertise, and professional stage experience to help dancers and gymnasts perform at an elite level.
A former elite performer herself, Mikki understands the physical and psychological demands of high-level training. Growing up in Melbourne, she began classical ballet training at the age of four, completing all Cecchetti examinations and participating in the prestigious Australian Ballet School Associates Program.
Her passion for dance evolved into a love for the commercial and musical theatre industries, leading her to enter directly into second-year full-time performing arts training at Patrick School of the Arts under the direction of Todd Patrick. Mikki went on to perform professionally in The Boy from Oz alongside Todd McKenney, as well as several other commercial stage productions and contracts.
Mikki’s performance career was unfortunately cut short by a spinal injury at the age of 25, but her deep understanding of elite training, performance pressure, and athlete development became the foundation of her coaching career.
Now with over 20 years of coaching experience, Mikki has guided students to exceptional achievements including professional musical theatre contracts, cruise ship productions, the world-renowned Radio City Rockettes in New York, and national and international representation in gymnastics, including first-on-floor placements at international events.
Mikki is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology on the pathway toward Clinical Psychology. Her work bridges the gap between physical performance and mental strength, combining high-level technical coaching with evidence-based psychological principles to support long-term athlete development. While most elite athletes acknowledge that mindset is just as important as physical preparation, few consistently train it. Mikki’s mission is to change that. Her programs are designed not only to develop strength, flexibility, control, and technique, but also confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and composure under pressure.
Grounded in decades of embodied industry experience, Mikki’s coaching philosophy centres around sustainable excellence, helping young performers pursue high standards without losing connection to themselves in the process.
